Each day we rate, through the use of form and statistics, the losing chances of the Racing Post favourite in certain races and select those favourites to lay on the exchanges. The selections are posted each day on the TIPPING LEAGUE website before 12 noon. 
Clicking on their logo anywhere on our site will take you to our page where you can see the proofed results. The prices shown on our results page are the prices that we have layed at on Betfair prior to the selections being posted and the profit is shown less commission. 
Unlike many other services we do not show our stakes at £100, we show the stake at £10.53 which, after deduction of 5% commission, equates to a net profit of £10.00. Each subscriber will choose their own stake obviously, but by keeping to a lay price of 5.00 or less, and a stake of £10.53, the maximum liability on each bet should never be higher than £42.12. There will be occasions when the lay price will be above 5.00 if we consider the selection to have a good chance of losing, but we endeavour to maintain a high proportion of the selections at 5.00 or below. With the ability of being able to keep a bet, at requested odds, in play on Betfair we are often able to get matched at around 5.00 in running.

During our research for selecting the Lays we realised that there was a method for selecting horses to be placed but only those that are trading above 2.10 are included. The reason for this is that at £10.00 stakes and minimum odds of 2.10, less 5% commission, the net profit is £10.00 and thus will cover any lost stake of £10.00. Furthermore we found that by using the Fibonacci series as a way of increasing the stake, to assist in helping to recover or reduce losses, a better rate of profit can be achieved.

The Fibonacci series comprise the series of numbers: 1: 2 : 3 : 5 : 8 :13 : 21 : 34 : 55 and so on. The series evolved by adding 1 and 2, which makes 3, 2 and 3 making 5, 3 and 5 making 8 and so on. By stakingin this way it is possible to recover a substanial part of any lost stakes provided that the minimum odds of 2.1 are applied. An example: You have staked £10 and lost, you then stake £20 and lose, you then stake £30 and lose. So far you have staked a total of £60.00 Your next bet of £50.00 at the minimum odds of 2.1 provided you with a net profit of £50.00. Not the total amount recovered but a substantial reduction in the loss. If however you were able to back at the average odds that we achieve, namely 2.72, then a net return of £81.70 would have seen the £60.00 returned PLUS a further £21.70 profit.
High strike rates and achieving a good average price will achieve a very respectable profit long term. Click on this box
